"An exhibit about Chicago's unique history, its uninhibited 'I will' spirit, its pioneering sons and daughters, who built a great metropolis in a swamp and turned it into one of the great business and cultural centers of the world."
--Elena George Moscow Sister Cities Committee

Discover Chicago, curated by Elena George as a project of the Moscow Sister Cities Committee, has traveled to Moscow, Switzerland, and Germany, to showcase Chicago to the world. This exhibit embraces the Chicago Sister Cities Program commitment to enhancing intercultural awareness and appreciation, increasing international trade and economic development, and promoting the exchange of 'best practices' in culture, education, medicine, environment, technology, and social services, for the benefit of the City of Chicago, its residents, and businesses. Discover Chicago is on display at O'Hare International Airport as part of the Visiting Curators Series. Created in 2000 by the Chicago Department of Aviation in cooperation with the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, the Visiting Curator Series allows professional curators from Chicago's arts and museum community to create annual exhibits that celebrate Chicago or present original artwork by Chicago artists designed around a common theme.
