The Airport Transit System (ATS) is a quick and convenient way to get around O'Hare International Airport. The ATS is a free, 24-hour rail system that operates between the three domestic terminals (1, 2 and 3), the international terminal (5), all parking facilities, the Kiss 'n' Fly drop-off point, and the PACE Bus stop.
Beginning on the morning of Tuesday, July 15 and for the next 3-1/2 months until November 2014, ATS trains will not operate between Economy Parking Lot E and Terminal 5. Bus shuttle service will be provided between the Parking Lot E station (“Kiss n’ Fly”) and Terminals 1, 2 and 3, along with a shuttle service directly to and from Terminal 5. Bus shuttle service will also be provided between Parking Lot F and Terminals 1, 2 and 3, along with a shuttle service directly to and from Terminal 5.
The ATS will continue to operate between Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 5.
Passengers and employees who use the ATS to travel between O’Hare’s Economy Parking Lots and Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 5 should allow extra travel time.

The ATS is fully automated and spans 2.7 miles, accommodating up to 2,400 passengers per hour. From beginning to end- Terminal 1 to Parking Lot E -the total travel time is just nine minutes. All points on the ATS route system are fully accessible to persons with disabilities, with elevators available at each of thestops.
Free, fully accessible shuttle buses transport visitors to the ATS station within Parking Lot E.
At each ATS stop, there are escorts in green jackets to help point you in the correct direction. You can ask them where to find your gate number, a specific parking lot or what stop you are located in.
