CHICAGO, November 30, 2012 - Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) Chief Operating Officer Khaled Naja, P.E. was a guest speaker today at the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA) Central meeting in Rosemont, IL.

Mr. Naja and representatives from the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISHTA) provided updates on current and future construction projects in the region to the ARTBA's membership.
During his presentation, Mr. Naja provided an overview of the CDA; an update on the O'Hare Modernization Program (OMP); upcoming construction projects for the OMP and capital improvement programs at O'Hare and Midway; and highlights of some of the innovative green construction practices taking place at Chicago's airports.
ARTBA's membership is comprised of designers, engineers, builders, consultants and materials suppliers. Headquartered in Washington, DC, ARTBA is one of the oldest national transportation construction-related associations in the country. ARTBA's mission is to grow and protect transportation infrastructure investment to meet the public and business demand for safe and efficient travel. The organization also provides programs and services for more than 5,000 public and private sector members.
