The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) is pleased to present concession opportunities at both Chicago O’Hare and Midway International Airports. While COVID-19 has significantly impacted travel at both airports, CDA is taking steps to ensure that as passengers return to travel, new services and amenities will be in place. As an example, CDA is seeking a company that can provide passengers with the ability to electronically order food and goods from any and all concessions at O’Hare, in person and remotely. For those passengers that don’t want to pick it up, they can have their order delivered to their gate.
CDA also wants passengers to experience a new retailing trend that allows them to "walk out" and electronically purchase food, beverages and other retail items. CDA wants to attract a company to develop these two spaces into self-service, cashier-less, concessions. Taking automation a step further, CDA is seeking companies that have both goods and services that can be purchased or accessed in an automated retailing unit. Whether it is pre-packaged food, machine prepared food, clothing, electronics, health, beauty, communications or tele-medicine options, CDA is making a variety of spaces available to companies seeking to expand at O’Hare.
At Midway, CDA desires to ensure passengers have access to luggage carts to ease their travel and enhance their experience.
Travel will come back and CDA, along with its partners, will be ready to serve.
