RSIP COVID-19 Response

NOTICE AS OF 5/27/2022: The RSIP monitors the COVID-19 Community Levels (CCL) published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on a weekly basis. If the CCL for a specific county is listed as “Low” or “Medium”, in-home appointments can be conducted in that county. If the CCL for a specific county is listed as “High”, the RSIP will request verbal confirmation from the homeowners that they will allow appointments or work to proceed in their homes.

At the Residential Sound Insulation Program (RSIP or Program), the safety of our Program participants, as well our staff and colleagues, is our top priority. Under the guidance of the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) , the RSIP has developed a protocol of procedures for safely conducting in-home appointments and construction. The CDA greatly appreciates your patience and understanding during this unprecedented situation.

The Protocol For Conducting Appointments in Homes (COVID-19) establishes procedures that allow appointments to be conducted in homes, or work to be performed in homes, in a safe manner to help protect participants of the program and to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus. All RSIP staff entering your home will be required to wear a face covering when the county CCL is listed as "Medium" or "High". We ask that all persons in the home wear a face covering while interacting with RSIP staff or if they cannot maintain a six foot social distance from any person within the home when the county CCL is listed as "Medium" or "High". The protocol document is made available to homeowners when scheduling appointments and at the beginning of appointments in the home.
