The entire O'Hare International Airport complex resides on over 7,200 acres and is located within the City of Chicago. The airport straddles Cook and DuPage counties.

As of June 2024, there are 203 gates at O'Hare. The two hub carriers lease the majority of these gates:
American Airlines: 71 gates
United Airlines: 90 gates

The entire Midway International Airport complex resides on approximately 775.4 acres and is located within the City of Chicago.

As of January 2023, there were 43 gates at Midway.
Concessions
As of Jan 2024, the number of concessions located at Midway International Airport was:
- 31 Food and Beverage (Several locations currently closed due to passenger volume)
- 32 News & Gift, Specialty Retail and Services (Several locations currently closed due to passenger volume)
- As of Nov 30, 2023, over 56.2% ACDBE participation rate (Airport Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program)
Total concessions is over 55,000 square feet within the airport, with additional development planned in 2024.
