The Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) recognizes that neighborhoods surrounding O’Hare International Airport (O’Hare) are affected by noise from aircraft operations. The CDA is committed to minimizing these aircraft noise impacts on the neighboring communities. Over the years the CDA has engaged stakeholders to develop and implement noise abatement programs, sound-insulate homes and schools, and explore new elements intended to enhance and improve our noise programs.
