In order to stay current with local conditions at the Chicago Midway International Airport, the Midway RSIP is currently on hold while the Chicago Department of Aviation (CDA) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) complete an update to the airport’s Noise Exposure Map, also known as the Noise Contour. The CDA and FAA are on schedule to complete the new Noise Contour by the end of 2021. Once the new Noise Contour is federally approved, the CDA will provide an update on the status of the RSIP.
