​ ​Together with the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, the Chicago Department of Aviation maintains the City of Chicago’s public art collection at O’Hare and Midway International Airports, which includes artwork from over 30 diverse international, national, and local artists. The airport collection features over 70 permanent art pieces, as well as rotating art exhibitions, which are highlighted below​ ​
