If you need to travel between our two airports- O'Hare and Midway International Airports- there are a couple different options available to you. If you have a connecting flight from one airport to the other, be sure there is adequate time to get from one airport to the other.
Chicago Transit Authority (CTA)
You can take the
CTA from O'Hare to Midway with one transfer downtown. It is the most economical way to transport between the two airports, but be sure to allow up to
two hours for the trip.
How Do I Get to Midway via CTA?
- Take the Blue Line train from the O'Hare Station located in the lower level of Terminal 2
- Get off at the Clark/Lake Station downtown and transfer to the Orange Line free of charge
- Take the Orange Line toward Midway and get off at the Midway Station

Taxi
Taking a taxi from O'Hare to Midway is another convenient way to travel between the two airports. Rates will vary depending on the time of day, weather and cab service.
